This article examines monetary orientations in the phraseology of the Russian language in economic, psychological, socio-philosophical, and socio-cultural aspects for the first time. The subject of the study is Russian phraseological units with the archiseme “money” as representatives of monetary orientations at the phraseological level of the language world picture. It is concluded that phraseology reflects several models of monetary orientations with the actualization of the cultural codes (somatic, objective, natural, and activity ones). The content of monetary orientations indicates that money at the phraseological level of the language world picture retains priority as a means of trade; they display the connection between human emotions, cognitive patterns, and financial decision-making; they also function in social interaction, act as a measure of self-esteem, convert values, and implement the features of monetary culture. The study's theoretical significance lies in the development of ideas about the unique nation-specific monetary attitudes at the phraseological level of the linguistic world picture. The results of the study can be used in practice for teaching professional language, courses in linguoculturology, pragmalinguistics, and intercultural communication.
