Phraseological units with the components of the lexico-semantic field «horse» in modern English

The article focuses on the components of the lexical-semantic field «horse» in English which are studied as means of nominating different phenomena related to this field. Special emphasis is laid on metaphoric meaning of the components which are united into groups according to different types of meaning transfer.
