The author examines the key fundamental factors that determine the average weighted level of market value of housing in the region. An analysis of all-Russian trends in the change of these parameters and their changes in a number of regions of the country with decreasing and increasing population is conducted. Conclusions are made for each group of factors and their impact on the housing market is revealed.
