A new book by Vladimir Mikushevich is considered, in the form of systematic essays continuing the approaches that were laid down in his earlier books of aphorisms and sayings. The unity of approach to the philosophy of art is demonstrated throughout the entire work under consideration. There are analysed the essays devoted to both individual writers and poets and general problems of art and creativity, language and translation. Vladimir Mikushevich’s arguments in favor of creationology (the study of creativity) as an independent branch of philosophical knowledge are revealed.
