Functions of the museum of contemporary art in Dan Brown's novel "Origin"

The article examines the functions of representation of the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao in Dan Brown's novel "Origin" (2017). The connection of the museum with the image of Edmond Kirsch and his futurological concepts is emphasized. It is proved that setup of the plot (the murder of Kirsch) does not happen by chance in a museum of modern art, in relation to which different points of view collide in the conflict between traditional religions and Kirsch's technocratic "religion".
