Functions of the family in amodern melodramatic series: criticism andc onstruction of norms

The article is devoted to the analysis of criticism and methods of constructing norms in domestic serial production of the last years. The paper analyzes the features of the implementation of the image of the family in the Russians series of recent years, the nature of this image, its main features, typology, differences from Western models, on the basis of which it is often created. Dramatic conflicts, characters of the TV series «Psycho», «Container», «Chicks», «Ordinary woman», «Gold Diggers», «Trigger» are analyzed. The author analyzes the figure of a family psychotherapist, which occupies an important place in the organization of a dramatic narrative. The author comes to the conclusion that the critical element in these series produced by streaming platforms is inferior to the need to reconstruct the family and family values. In the finale of the article, the author proves that the modern on screen image of the family is formed on the basis not of the exclusion of traditionalism, but of an attempt to unite and combine it with feminist discourse. Family issues make it possible to overcome the fragmentation of the audience, strengthens the value orientations of modern Russian culture.
