Autobiography can be chronological, historical, psychoanalytic, pedagogical, narrative and stylistically close to sermon or confession. Genre of autobiography has been completely specified neither in philology, not in philosophy, not in pedagogy. The concept of autobiography needs to be defined and given a status in the formation of subjectivity. Human inherits himself as a life from an animal, his bios should be merely lived whereas the authorship suggests understanding of self, the awareness of life, graph suggests self-description in the form of text- diaries, letters, SMS, online reviews, etc. The subject of history, education, social experience, relating one’s own memory in the form of memo-images, is autobiography because he disentangles himself from just life in the forms of visual images. Autobiography does not aim to reproduce the subject’s essence as what actually happened to him, it is often fiction, romantic exaggeration or reduction to ordinariness, serial accounts of the same event in forms of tragedy, humor, self-irony. Autobiography as a function of subjectivity has not disappeared from culture; self-descriptions, autofictions are spreading on the Internet at the speed of their production, which blocks any form of criticism, self-consciousness, reflection. Apart from autobiographies, biographies are also written by historians, critics, students, descendants, etc.
