Functional activity of the pancreatic gland at local and native wandering population of the European North

In March, 2010 66 persons of mature age from Pinega village (Arkhangelsk oblast, Pinezhskiy region), from them 38 persons – local Russian inhabitants from Pinega (average age of 42,5 years), constantly living in the north, 28 persons constantly living in the north – wandering reindeer breeders (middle age of 34,8 years), wandering from January till March around Pinega village have been surveyed. At wandering native population of the European North in comparison with local Russian inhabitants, constantly living in the north, lower values of insulin-resistance index HOMA-IR, levels of proinsulin, insulin, S-peptida against increase of cortisol levels, cyclic AMP and adiponectin are revealed.
