The aim of the work is to establish the level of functional activity of platelets in calves of the Yaroslavl breed during the phase of plant nutrition. The observation was carried out on 47 healthy calves of the Yaroslavl breed, obtained as a result of 2-3 pregnancies from cows that were completely healthy. In young animals, an acceleration of the development of the process of platelet aggregation with all tested agonists was revealed. In the observed animals in the blood there was a tendency to reduce the level of discocytes and increase the number of activated platelets and their aggregates. The revealed increase in the functional capabilities of platelets occurred in the observed calves, including due to an increase in the increase in the generation of thromboxane in them, an increase in the content of adenosine phosphates in their granules, activation of an increase in the concentration of actin and myosin in them with an intensification of self-assembly of these proteins under conditions of stimulation of platelets. It can be considered that for the young animals of the Yaroslavl breed, during the phase of plant nutrition, a gradual increase in the functional properties of platelets is characteristic, which contributes to their more complete adaptation to the conditions of existence.
