Functional and semantic features of the lexeme "black-white" in French and Kyrgyz languages

Comparative studies aimed at identifying similarities and differences between languages are a serious problem in modern linguistics. In this regard, of particular interest are the studies of lexemes that most vividly reflect the life of the people, their culture, traditions and mentality. The article attempts for the first time in the comparative linguistics of the French and Kyrgyz languages to consider color combinations, namely the lexemes white and black from the point of view of the systematic organization of lexical units with the involvement of lexicography, phraseology, paremiology, etc. Using the example of the names of colors, the authors are convinced that such an objective physical sensation for all people as color is reflected differently in different languages. The language forms a complex system and, undoubtedly, significant differences are found in different languages. These inconsistencies concern both the choice of colors and shades, and the way they are indicated and understood.
