Functional features of platelets in Dutch calves during the phase of dairy and vegetable nutrition

Бесплатный доступ

During the observation, the calves showed a gradual weakening of platelet aggregation with an increase in discoid platelets in their blood. Under these conditions, the number of activated platelets and the content of various aggregates consisting of platelets in their blood decreased. The changes found were associated with the inhibition of thromboxane synthesis in blood platelets, a decrease in the amount of adenyl nucleotides in platelet granules, and a weakening of their secretory release. During the observation period, the content of actin and myosin molecules in platelets and their self-assembly during platelet activation was small and gradually decreased during the study. The level of platelet activity in Dutch breed calves ensures the functional sufficiency of primary hemostasis during the phase of milk and vegetable nutrition, which is required for the optimal development of young animals.
