The article considers gastronomic tourism as a form of representation of everyday food culture. The relevance of the study is due to the fact that until now in science in the study of tourism activities, the empirical pragmatic level of knowledge prevailed over the theoretical one, which limited the theoretical and methodological justification of its essence, hindered development, reduced efficiency and prospects. Gastronomic tourism, in turn, is a specific form of mastering the cultural heritage of other peoples. The purpose of the study is to establish theoretical approaches and identify the specifics of gastronomic tourism as a form of representation of the everyday food culture of the inhabitants of the Far East region (on the example of Primorsky Krai). Within the framework of this article, a theoretical and methodological basis was singled out, reflecting the specifics of the scientific problem. The scientific novelty of the study lies in determining the essential characteristics of gastronomic tourism, identifying its functions; the specific features of the everyday food culture of the inhabitants of Primorsky Krai were revealed.
