The article deals with the problem of development of gender competence of a teacher. The authors define components (values and motivation-related, cognitive, behavioral) of the gender competence, parameters and levels of its development (high, average, low), which makes it possible to define the degree of teacher’s gender competence development and its manifestations in professional activity.
