The article is devoted to the study of gender equality in the field of labor. The scientific article draws attention to the fact that the principle of gender inequality in the labor sphere is not correctly interpreted in its absolute meaning. According to the author of the article, one of the problems of gender equality in Russia is the lack of quota representation of women in solving key issues, which discriminates against their position in the labor sphere in relation to men. It is concluded that the introduction of a system of quota representation of women in solving key issues will help to balance and create a balance of labor opportunities for men and women.
