Gender features of the students organism mnemonic functions

The study of memory capacity gender features does not lose its relevance at university students. A study of the mnemonic abilities at the Nizhnevartovsk State University students was conducted. Mnemonic functions were estimated on the mechanical, semantic and figurative memory capacity. In addition, the visual and auditional memory level and memory self-esteem was determined. The students surveyed identified gender differences that were highlighted: the average values of visual and auditional memory in young people were higher than those of their peers. On the level of self-esteem of memory, gender features also were observed: the students rated themselves higher than the students. According to the level of mechanical and imaginative memory, there were no significant differences between girls and boys. The girls had higher levels of semantic memory.
