Gender peculiarities of smoking influence on vegetative nervous system in persons of youthful age

Vegetative tone was assessed in 128 smoking young men and 116 smoking girls - students of medical higher school using the questionnaire offered by A.M.Vayne; vegetative part of activity was defined using the tests with physical activity, with the tests Bar, orthotest; vegetative Kerdo index was counted. Cardiac rhythm variability was assessed using the program «Status PF». Study results showed some gender peculiarities of influence of smoking on vegetative nervous system: in girls-smokers, some cardiac rhythm parameters are changed significantly and in young men-smokers, sympathetic influence on the heart was significantly decreased.
