Gender pecularities of time perception as social factor of tobacco dependence formation

Using semantic differential of time characteristics and visual scales evaluation of preferred time was shown that tobacco-dependent persons percept time as more long, but less struktured and sensed compared to norm. At the same time, the subjects, regardless of tobacco smoking, perceive time as strange, discrete, chaotic and poorly organized. The lowest rating of time emotional characteristics are in men smokers, while women have virtually no differences in time assesment between tobacco dependant and norm. Regarding preferences, smokers clearly prefer "present time", while the control group is equal to the present and the future.
