The paper presents the results of studying the genetic structure of a new Tatar horse breed created recently (2019). Such studies in this breed were conducted for the first time. The studies established that the Tatar horse breed is characterized by a rich gene pool for transferrin and blood albumin proteins, as well as microsatellite DNA, which have a high level of polymorphism due to multiple allelism (from 4 to 6 alleles of each locus). This allowed solving important issues of Tatar horse breeding, such as determining their genetic similarity and differences with the related Bashkir breed, and identifying errors in the records of the origin of the offspring.
