Every person is considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. This principle is one of the fundamental principles of justice and fairness. The study of the history of the formation of the presumption of innocence is important for understanding the essence and significance of this principle in a modern legal society. The purpose of this article is to study the history of the emergence and development of the principle of the presumption of innocence in the domestic legal system, as well as to determine its role and significance in modern justice.
