Genius loci in the everyday aesthetics

In this article considers the idea of space in the everyday aesthetics. The author aims to draw the concept of genius loci and principles of the everyday aesthetics to show genius loci as a descriptive construction of any space. Space and the subject are interconnected and constantly influence each other. Space embodied in two levels: the one of the subjects and the one of meanings. The subject is generated by the meanings of space, presented in the article by the notions of identification and orientation, and, in turn, influences them. The presence of different spaces suggests a multiplicity of forms of identification and orientation and begs the question of the potential significance of their collision. Disclosed in the notions of atmosphere and the effects of presence, genius loci gain the ability to penetrate the boundaries of any space and give aesthetic significance to each of them.
