Genotypic identification of BLV isolates detected in livestock farms of the Republic of Tatarstan

As a result, phylogenetic analysis of aligned nucleotide sequences of the env-gene locus of typical representatives of known BLV genotypes found that an isolate «N28» detected in Spassky area of RT belongs to a cluster of 7-th genotype, and isolates «N10» and «N72» detected respectively in Menzelinsky and Drozhzhanovsky areas of RT refer to the 4-th genotype of BLV. Another isolate «N174» also detected in the Drozhzhanovsky area of RT is characterized by a new feature not previously studied BLV genotype designated as «8-th genotype».
