The geopolitical situation as a factor in the revival of the Russian national idea

This article examines the problems, the relevance of which lies in the practical and applied process that arises as a result of opportunistic political procedures taking place in society at the global, regional and local levels. These phenomena are considered by the author in the context of political philosophy rather than political science, since one of the main differences between the above-mentioned substances is that political science is constructed predominantly as “non-evaluative”, impartially narrating things as they are. On the contrary, the key task of political philosophy is to develop value judgments, to talk about what is desirable and what is dangerous, that is, to answer the question how “should it be?”. The article provides an answer to the above question and suggests a constructive solution. During the scientific research, the method of dialectics was used, in particular, the law of the transition of quantitative changes into qualitative ones, as well as the law of unity and struggle of opposites.
