Hermeneutic principles applied to ward off incomprehension of written texts in a foreign language

The main aim of the article is to provide an overview of modern hermeneutic achievements in the context of their application for overcoming incomprehension of texts written in a foreign language, and for quality improvement of written text understanding. The first part of the article describes difficulties encountered by individuals reading texts written in foreign language. The second part of the article reviews the main concepts of the most popular strategies applied in teaching the understanding of written texts. The correlation between these concepts and the main rules of hermeneutic used for written texts interpretation and understanding is shown.
