Modern challenges set new requirements for the forms of teaching chemistry at university. At present, hybrid teaching has become widespread as a new form teaching, which complements distance and traditional forms of education. The authors review the literature and identify the main positive and negative aspects of various learning technologies in the digital environment, namely, distance, mixed, and hybrid ones. The use of hybrid teaching technology for synchronous online and offline teaching of Chemistry to the students of Tomsk Polytechnic University (TPU) was described. New scenarios for conducting chemistry classes using electronic courses, video conferencing and virtual laboratory complexes were developed and tested. The survey was used to evaluate the effectiveness of the introduction of hybrid teaching technology in the educational process. The results of the survey show that students singled out positive and negative aspects of hybrid learning model. The analysis showed that the majority of students were satisfied with the new form of organization of the educational process. They positively perceived the possibility of transition from offline to online forms. However, students noted that this form of education did not impact their motivation to study the discipline.
