The aim of the work was to study histological examination and morphological assessment of the liver and duodenum in laboratory mice against the background of the addition of the probiotic Bacillus coagulans to their diet. Scientific research was carried out at the Department of Morphology, Physiology and Pathology of Animals in the Ulyanovsk State University. The objects of scientific research were white mice formed into 4 groups, each with 20 mice. The use of the probiotic drug Bacillus coagulans in a dosage of 0.6 ml of 107 CFU optimizes the structural organization of the liver, prevents fatty degeneration of hepatocytes and fibrous degeneration of the stroma of the organ, and also stabilizes desquamative processes in the 12 duodenum, which can be seen at the microscopic level in animals of the third experimental group. Our observations are a morphological justification for the need to use a probiotic drug in animals.
