Verbs in the medical discourse: the explication of the category “process”

The article deals with the analysis of the representation of the category “process” based on the English verbs denoting the different actions and states in medicine. The category of the process is considered in the form of three subcategories - actions, states and attitudes. There are revealed the prototype characteristics of the subcategories, there is given its categorial and ontological analysis. There is studied the verbs’ ability to express several categorial meanings.
