Problem and purpose. The article analyzes the philosophical foundations of the plot and image structure of the novel “Moskva-kva-kva” by V. Aksenov. The work refers to the last stage of the creative evolution of the writer, allowing us to speak about the construction of the text in the framework of socio-historical and philosophical discourses, which is typical of this period. The novel is dominated by the modernist aesthetic dominant, which allows considering the text from the standpoint of Russian religious philosophy, closely related to the Gnostic teachings. The methodology of the research is comparative-historical, culturological, sociological and philosophical approaches. The subject of the study is the representation and functioning of the sophic features in the image of the main heroine of the novel - Glikeriia Novotkannaia. The article deals with the sophiological motives in the novel “Moskva-kva-kva”, their functioning in the post-apocalyptic emptiness situation presented in the text, identifies the main components of the image of Glika, which are duality, pneumaticity, the Virgin Mary features, shows how this image is embedded into the syncretic genre structure of the novel. Results. The author draws the conclusion that there is no way out of the state of post-apocalyptic emptiness on plot, figurative-expressive and mystical levels, which is incapable of being filled with anything ever. Conclusion. The impossibility of the messianic function of Russia and its inability to become an embodied utopia in this text is justified by the plot, namely, the return of Sophia-Glika to the first beginning.
