Urban space as a territory for the existence of street art

The aim of the study is to describe the peculiarities of urban space as a territory of existence of modern art, which is a complex of visual works. The methods used were participant observation and interviews. Cultural determinism raises the topic of a set of commonly shared symbols and meanings, which include in its content the fundamental social ideas and values, customs and traditions. The conditions of graffiti development in Russia and abroad are considered. Important factors in the formation of the capitals of street art is the demand for this informal art trend among young people and tourists. Graffiti art is colorful stylized writings and paintings on walls. The art objects carry a certain message. The visual context is dominated by acute social and political issues and military conflicts.
