This article examines urban passenger transport (UPT) issues in Osh, the second-largest city in Kyrgyzstan and a key transportation hub in the Fergana Valley. The study's relevance stems from the rapid growth in vehicle traffic in the city, which has exacerbated traffic management issues and deteriorated the quality of public transportation services. The study utilized a comprehensive approach, including field observations (visual passenger flow data collection) and digital modeling (ArcGIS). Ten routes were surveyed, including one municipal and nine private routes. The analysis revealed a disparity between the municipal and private UPT sectors: despite a large number of private minibuses, some routes (No. 106 and No. 116) are overcrowded, while others (No. 102 and No. 119) are inefficient ring routes with low passenger traffic. Geoanalysis also revealed a shortage of bus stops in the city's border areas.
