The paper considers the state and the problems of the transition of the Russian economy and educational system into an innovative way of development. It presents the criteria of the estimation of their innovativeness which are used in the world and Russian practices. The paper reveals the potential of Public Private Partnership (PPP) as a mechanism of harmonization of the processes of innovative development of education and regional economy.
