Statehood: theoretical and legal aspect

In this article, a theoretical analysis of the legal category of statehood is carried out, various approaches to determining the structural characteristics, essence of statehood and its correlation with related definitions are investigated. The concept of «statehood» has firmly entered and entrenched not only in modern scientific and educational literature, but also in regulatory legal acts. The conclusion is made about the need to use this legal category to indicate the qualitative state of the state and society at a certain historical stage of its development.
