The readiness of the residents of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) for internal labor migration

The paper describes the results of a study on the readiness of the residents of the Western economic zone of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) for internal labor migration. The issues of the potential mobility of the working age population are considered; the system-based approach to this phenomenon is analyzed as a manifestation of human self-organization. The purpose of the research is to review the potential internal mobility of the working age population of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia). The paper presents the findings of the survey on the social and psychological determination of readiness for labor mobility. The potential mobility of the working age population is explained by the professional activity of the respondents and the peculiarities of labor motivation. The research reveals the specific nature of the respondents’ readiness for labor migration depending on the scope of their activities. The residents’ experience of staying at other regions plays a significant role in their readiness for internal labor migration. The favorable working conditions along with the financial factor are important when developing readiness for internal labor migration.
