Grant support for projects of socially oriented non-profit organizations of the Sverdlovsk region

Getting grants is one of the main ways to fund and support non-profit organizations. The article examines the attraction and distribution of funds from the Presidential Grants Fund as the most common financing mechanism for socially oriented non-profit organizations in the municipalities of the Sverdlovsk region. It was noted that there is a correlation between the status of the grant (won or lost) and the size of the NPO’s own resources. During the analysis of the base of projects (over the past five years), it was revealed that, despite the active participation of public organizations of the Sverdlovsk region in the submission and attraction of grant financing for the implementation of various projects, there is an unevenness in the attraction of grant financing in the context of municipalities of the Sverdlovsk region. As a result, the following reasons for differentiation were identified, as well as its consequences for the development of territories
