Civil social service as the subject of convicts' Resocialization

The authors developed a complex interdepartmental programme aiming to promote the convict's relations with the family. Specialists from the group of convicts' social protection and social work of a civil institution are engaged in advising the convicts or the released as to where they can apply to for social service. The results show the relevance of interdepartmental cooperation when tackling the tasks of post-penitentiary resocialization of the convicts and the released. It is necessary to educate the convicts (conduct topical conversations, lectures, etc.), give consultations (psychological support, individual consultations), conduct psychocorrection (assertive behaviour training), carry out social work (retaining socially beneficial contacts, prevention of social orphanhood, social patronage, advancing parents' pedagogical proficiency, etc.).
