The article is devoted to the activity of the thirty ninth President of the USA Jimmy Carter (1977-1981). The main biographical details are highlighted. The development of his political career from a peanut farmer to the President of the USA is shown. President Carter's mistakes in domestic and foreign policy, which did not allow him to be re-elected are revealed and examined. The article also highlights the ex-president's peacemaking and humanitarian activity.
