Humanistic worldview of the XXI century engineer

The article focuses on a topical problem of our time - the formation of a humanistic worldview of an engineer, an important component of which is an appropriate education, social principles and moral values. The interrelation of humanistic orientation of training and outlook of the engineer, his world-understanding and world-view has been determined. The focus is on the peculiarities of applied ethical knowledge designed to become the foundation of engineering ethics and a humanistic worldview. It is emphasized that for an engineer it involves taking into account ethical considerations and social consequences in the development and implementation of new technologies. The social role of engineering ethics, the moral responsibility of man to society and the environment is emphasized. Knowledge of science, technology and ethics is designed to help an engineer in solving social and cultural problems. The qualitative image of the “innovative” engineer of the XXI century is presented as a condition for the humanistic perspective of the development and transformation of Russian society.
