Introduction. Conducted investigations of the neurological and mental status of individuals exposed to irradiation as a result of radiation accidents and incidents (accident at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant, Mayak Production Center etc.) showed a high prevalence of cognitive disorders in the long-term period. The relevance of studying this problem is due to the social need for the early detection, treatment and prevention of cognitive impairment in order to extend the active longevity of the population. Objective - to study mental (cognitive) disorders in individuals exposed to radiation in the longterm observation period. Materials and Methods. Two study groups were formed. The main group included 100 individuals born in 1950-1960 living in the settlements of the Techa River Basin, with an accumulated radiation 0.16±0.02 gray dose for red bone marrow and 0.014±0.002 gray dose for soft tissues.
