The modern methods of treatment of acute myocardial infarction (AMI) allow to avoid the early postinfarction remodelling but increase (and will increase in the future!) the number of patients with CHF and preserved systolic function of heart. According to the results of our study, the rigidity of the main arteries is increased among patients with chronic heart failure and preserved left ventricular ejection fraction, developed after myocardial infarction. In addition the severity of heart failure depends on the increase of pulse wave velocity. The positive correlations between increased the rigidity of the main arteries and the levels of BNP and NT-pro BNP are revealed in CHF patients with preserved left ventricular ejection fraction in one year after myocardial infarction.
