Relevance. Currently, the number of disasters of various origins is not decreasing, and the need to improve and maintain the optimal level of physical fitness and psychoemotional stability of personnel in the divisions of the federal fire service of the EMERCOM of Russia remains relevant. This is due to a decrease in individual indicators of the firefighter's physical condition, taking into account personal susceptibility to progressive professional stresses, vital threats, as well as the need to perform official tasks in extreme conditions with a lack of time. The aim of the study was to characterize the level of physical fitness of firefighters from among the personnel of the 12th squad of the Federal fire Service in the Krasnodar Territory. Organization and methods of research: the study was conducted on the basis of the fire department No. 22"12th squad of the Federal fire Service in the Krasnodar Territory", it was attended by employees of the federal fire service in the number of 61 people (men of mature age of the first period). Pedagogical testing was conducted. The results were processed using mathematical statistics. Results An analysis of the data obtained shows that 24 (39.3%) male firefighters aged 22 to 35years have indicators of the level of physical fitness that correspond to the established values regulated by the "Instructions on Physical Training of personnel of the Federal Fire Service" (FPS), 37 (60.7%) of the subjects have a level of physical fitness that does not correspond to the established values.
