XIII Derzhavin readings: literary dialogues in the cultural context

The 13th International Scientific and Practical conference "The Derzhavin Readings" took place in Kazan from 21th to 23d September 23, 2017. The hosts of the event were the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan, the All-Russian State University of Justice and Kazan (Volga Region) Federal University. The famous philologists and local historians of Russia and the neighboring countries made reports on current issues of studying poetics within Gabriel Romanovich Derzhavin’s works. He is rightfully considered the coryphe of Russian literary culture of the end of XVIII - the beginning of the 19th century. He was the author, whose literal heritage draws the results of the previous eras of literary and cultural process to lay the foundation of new literary culture. Three volumes of Collected Works by G.R.Derzhavin were released by the beginning of the conference. The first volume "Poetry of 1770-1790" has an introductory article "Poetic Philosophy of G.R.Derzhavin" by A.N.Pashkurov and I.Razzhivina; the second volume "Poetry of 1790-the 1810th" has an introductory article "Results, Problems and Prospects of Studying of Life and G.R.Derzhavin's Works" by O.M.Buranok. The third volume contains sketches on justice by G.R.Derzhavin. The books present a serial of publications. The fourth volume devoted to G.R.Derzhavin's dramatic art is being prepared for release.
