The high prevalence of knee joint pathologies determines the social significance and need to improve treatment options. The article describes clinical use of the method for intra-articular puncture of the knee joint in gonarthrosis and synovitis. We offer an entry point for puncture, which in contrast with other points is more available and safer. Clinical use of this point in puncture of the knee joint has shown its consistency. The point is well defined on the knee joint, puncture is simple in execution, ensures needle penetration and introduction of the drug into the joint cavity. When puncturing at the indicated point of the knee joint, there is no risk of articular cartilage damage, the needle does not touch the bone. The location of the puncture point is easily determined by palpation; the position of the needle longitudinally of the thigh axis facilitates puncture of the joint membrane at the first attempt.
