Hostels as an alternative and promising means of accommodation in the tourism industry

This study is devoted to the development of hostels as alternative and promising small accommodation facilities for travelers with different income levels, considering the factors of economic and social importance that influence this process, contributing to the development of the tourism industry through the prism of increased demand for travel to certain destinations. Russia, Asian and European countries are considered as an example, taking into account not only individual social groups of people who are interested in this field of hospitality, but also the specifics of providing budget hotel services. The conclusions about the importance of hostels in Russia and Asian and European countries in the development of the tourism industry and an increase in demand for these accommodation facilities are substantiated. The authors have attempted to propose ways to reform this field of activity and considered the prospects for development, based on an analysis of the legislative framework and the current state of the provision of services by hostels.
