Christian theological discourse in modern Russia: application areas, current issues

The article is devoted to defining and characterizing the main application areas of Christian theological discourse in modern Russia. Being a reflection of the coinciding or counter processes in religion, society and the world as a whole, it offers an up-to-date understanding of the Christian tradition, contemporary social trends, and the tasks of organization within the church. As a result, the appeal to religious dogma inevitably generates judgments about the organization of worldly life and, on the contrary, the appeal to secular topics necessarily actualizes the theological connotation. It has been shown that the areas of application of Christian theology in modern Russia are the apology of the doctrine, the expansion of religious content into secularized areas of society, the implementation of humanitarian expertise, and the regulation of intra-confessional relations. This allows us to evaluate Christian theology as a significant factor in the development of Russian society.
