The article is devoted to the Far Eastern period in the art of Venedikt Mart (1896- 1937), a prominent Russian poet and writer who was bom in Vladivostok. During these years he became a true Far Eastern writer with a special type of mentality, cultural orientation, attachment to special themes and subjects. It also was a fruitful period of his creative life when he wrote his best works which reflected his knowledge of Japan, China, and the Russian Far East.
