Artistic and compositional aspects of natural lighting in architecture

This article explores the use of natural light as an architectural technique. The influence of light on architecture throughout history is studied, the relationship of philosophical aspects, religion and worldviews in certain historical periods and architectural techniques using natural lighting is determined. The evolution of theoretical knowledge in understanding the role of natural light in architecture, the stages of its formation from the point of view of the use of natural light.
