This article will discuss the theme of “native language”, which has become one of the central themes of Kyrgyz poetry in the post-Soviet period. Of course, it is known that this topic was raised in Soviet literature, especially in Kyrgyz journalism and publicism. However, it is worth noting that raising the most problematic issues has become the main thematic direction of Kyrgyz professional poetry and journalism during this period of independence. Within the framework of this topic, poems by the Kyrgyz national poet E. Ibraev, written in this direction, will be selected, and in turn, the poet’s poems about his civic and journalistic nature will be considered.
