Work of art as a representative of culture (linguo-didactic aspect)

The article is devoted to the analysis of a work of art as a representative of culture. It reveals cultural concepts that are involved in the process of mastering foreign language and culture. The study proves that specific culture can appear in a work of art at three interrelated levels: in the form of a theme of a work, its plot, an image of the author, problems revealed, portrayals of an author and characters. The implication, connotative meanings of words, aesthetic intention of the author, the author's style, and stylistic devices convey cultural concepts in fiction.
