I. I. Doubassov - pedagogue and scholar of regional history studies

The pedagogical and regional history studies activities of I.I. Doubassov is analyzed in this article. His biography as a philologist, literature historian, Bible history and French teacher at Tambov theological seminary through the director of public schools in Kursk province is shown. He is presented as an organizer of regional history studies in Tambov province. For the very first time his role in formation of history studies movement in Penza province is revealed.
