Through the analysis of the formula "holy Russian literature" T. Mann is designated as the main concepts of the worldview of the German classic, largely shaped by the influence of N. Gogol and F. Dostoevsky, and attempted to identify the main platform for comparing and even intertwining the cultures of Germany and Russia.
