In accordance with the methodology proposed in the first report, results of the study of importance of identity having and identity development in adolescence and adulthood are presented. In adolescence, the factor of identity importance mediates the role of identity achievement in subjective valences and psychological centralities of specific identifications. Appraisals of identity achievement are associated with subjective well-being, especially in adults. Both appraisals of identity importance and identity achievement are related to specific patterns of coping behavior.
